I'm still trying to trudge through mine without reloading, but it is really hard.. By kjdhgfiliuhwe - Thu Jan 07, am. Outside of me RPing a righteous wingnut I suppose. Out of the three options, I found killing the elves to be my favorite. I mean By Viglin - Thu Jan 07, am. Well said Viglin Status: Offline.

On topic, when I decided that, RP-wise, the thing to do would be to kill the wolves partly RP, partly because on my previous playthrough I had persuaded Zathrian to lift the curse, and wanted to do something different this time round I got slaughtered the first time I tried to fight them all. The dialogue preceding the fight had been so harrowing, however the Spirit lady begging that I change my mind and be merciful, etc.
Was terrible. I imagine slaughtering the elves, when I finally get around to it I dislike making the choice, reloading and then trying another choice to see the different outcomes, it feels too cheaty for my liking , will be a lot easier.
I'm dreading preserving the Anvil. Killing the mages wasn't too bad, though. Edited by Obtusifolius, 06 January - PM. Guest Status: Offline. Brutal Zathrian: You either take the heart from Witherfang straight off the bat, or go along with the parley and fetch Zathrian, then kill them all with his help.
I guess this would kill Witherfang, lift the curse, but keep Zathrian alive. Same outcome though. Diplomatic mediator: This is the one I stuck with.
I reasoned with them both and persuaded Zathrian to lift the curse. This killed Witherfang, but she knew this and felt it was time, since her spirit was forcefully removed from the forest anyway. Zathrian drops dead, Spirit dissolves and the Werewolves turn human. All 3 have the same outcome, it's just a matter of how you feel and who you want to support in my case, I just supported diplomacy , and maybe some Approval points, I don't know.
Hope this helps. Meet Pax Hamburgana. Dang, not much of spoilers for me since I'm at that point anyways but I've tried to be diplomatic but Basically what I did was keep reminding the Werewolves at every encounter I want to hear their side and am not a killer. Then, at the Spirit, I just used my common sense and went with the kindest touch, e. I'm not there to kill them, I'll hear their side of the story, say they have been done injustice etc etc.
Then she asks me to fetch Zathrian, I went up and told him I knew he was following me basically, then asked him to come with me. When he told me to kill them, I didn't just outright say no, but I told him his people are suffering, and the curse has been around for too long.
Basically, it's all about being just as empathic as you can to one side, without actually choosing a side. I can't really help you with that, unless I reload an earlier save and give you the exact dialogue numbers I used, but you don't want that, because it's no fun. These cursed humans were driven into the forest, and remained there when their tribe left.
The curse passed on to their descendants. With Zathrian refusing every one of the werewolves' summons, they resorted to ambushing his clan to spread the curse to them and thus force a confrontation.
If you decide to side with Zathrian and kill Witherfang, it will be assisted by several werewolves including Swiftrunner. Witherfang uses many of the same abilities as wolves.

Killing the spirit or Zathrian makes the other die too. Swiftrunner is first encountered on the small island with three bridges in the West Brecilian Forest. You need like 3 points into Coercion and you can convince Zathrian that killing himself is the only option to end the curse. The Elves go on with their lives and the Werewolves are freed from their curse.
You need to fight him first but after the battle he will agree to it.
